Let it Snow

We got some snowfall today. So far we seem to have about 8 inches but when I took this photo it was still falling. Ahh winter, how I did miss you. Even if I do have to shovel myself out.

Crane

When we were in China our friend called the crane China's national bird. She's was punning on the fact that cranes like this one were everywhere since buildings were being put up left and right.
This giant fellow is sitting outside the gym building.

The creek flooded recently, that log is a new arrival.

Although this fellow isn't as hard to track down as the heron he did manage to elude me in that I couldn't get a good picture of him.

This was supposed to be a picture of the Great Blue Heron on the Woods Creek Trail but that darn bird refuses to be photographed in any clear way.

Ice Waves

Looks a bit like waves of ice crashing on the shore.

Our neighbors trimmed back this tree and we were worried it would die. It seems to have tried to make a comeback. Hopefully it will continue to grow.
